Change Your Password

Where to change your password and what to expect from the security flow.

Change your password through the central account portal at https://auth.shane.app/settings/security, not inside individual applications.

Use the same central account for the main apps. Password changes should not normally happen inside Jellyfin, Open WebUI, pgAdmin, or the arr stack.

Important Notes

  • Some actions may require an elevated session.
  • Multi-factor authentication may be required again for sensitive account changes.
  • Too many rapid retries can trigger temporary rate limiting.

If You Are Stuck

  • wait a few minutes if you hit a rate limit,
  • try again in a normal browser session,
  • and contact the administrator if you are still blocked.
